Special systems, including for the food industry, will continue to come from Döbeln in the future. Zachert Private Equity GmbH (ZPE) has taken over the Bühler GmbH plant engineering factory. The new owner is guaranteeing all of the approximately 70 employees their current jobs and is planning a strategic further development of the site together with the experienced workforce. In future, the plant will operate under the name Döbelner Anlagen- und Maschinenbau GmbH (DAMB). The previous owner Bühler is supporting this process with long-term order commitments.

The restructuring specialist ZPE intends to strategically expand the business model at the Döbeln plant. This is planned to take place through the acquisition of further companies or parts of companies.

The upcoming process will be accompanied by an advisory board, which includes the former Prime Minister of the Free State of Saxony, Stanislaw Tillich.

Olaf Zachert, Managing Partner of ZPE: “Especially now, in politically uncertain times, we believe in Saxony as a location and have therefore invested here. Preserving jobs and the plant in Döbeln is important to us. Based on a clear strategy, the further expansion and realignment of production now have priority. We will work closely with the works council and the workforce on this.”

Konrad Groß, Managing Director of Bühler GmbH: “Responsibility for our employees is a high priority at Bühler – all the more so in a situation in which the changed market situation is forcing us to concentrate our capacities at the Beilngries site. We are delighted to have found a new owner for the plant in Döbeln in ZPE, which will take on all employees and plans to expand the site.”

Stanislaw Tillich, former Minister-President: “The success of the Saxon economy is based on a strong industry and innovative SMEs. As a Saxon, it is particularly important to me to maintain and further develop this basis. The plant here in Döbeln is symbolic of real opportunities for the future. I am personally grateful to ZPE and Olaf Zachert for this commitment. I am happy to be involved as an advisory board member on-site and in the region.”
